Mere Karki

Mere Karki was born in Solukhumbu, Nepal — a region famous for its majestic mountains. He started his journey from the year 1996 , With almost 30 years of dedication in this field, Mere has been guiding trekkers through the breathtaking landscapes and beauty of Nepal. He is a Certified Trekking and Cultural guide from NADHM, as well as a Professional Mountaineering Guide certified by the NMA(Nepal Mountaineering Association). His impressive achievements include climbing Mera Peak (6,400 meters), Dhaulagiri Peak (8,100 meters), Island Peak, Lobuche, Chulu West, East, Larke, Phachermo, and Ramdung multiple times, as well as leading countless treks on iconic routes such as Everest Base Camp and the Annapurna Circuit, among many others.

As the Managing Director of Versatile Treks, Mere combines his vast experience and knowledge of Nepali culture, traditions, and trails with a warm and welcoming personality. He leads his team with dedication and a genuine passion for sharing the wonders of the Himalayas. Whether you’re a first-time trekker or a seasoned hiker, Mere Karki leadership, sense of humor, and love for the mountains ensure a safe, unforgettable adventure that captures the true heart of Nepal.
